As a senior managing director, Matt Bender coordinates relationships and services offerings for large, complex national private equity clients and their portfolio companies across the investment lifecycle.

Background

Matt Bender has 25 years of experience in organizational growth, client service, community service, and relationship development with a special emphasis in the accounting, finance, and technology industries. He has held a variety of responsibilities at Riveron in the past fourteen years, including formerly leading the firm’s strategy for serving private equity firms and their portfolio companies and the design and rollout of Riveron’s national sales framework for client development and external partner relationships.

Prior to joining Riveron, Matt’s business development and client service experience included serving clients at RSM McGladrey, Inc. as managing business development director. In addition, Matt served as corporate account executive and global partner account manager at Microsoft Corporation as well as a manager for KPMG after starting his career in the Southeast as a commercial banker.

Matt has contributed in numerous community leadership and service capacities throughout his career, having served on the Museum Council for the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and as the board chairman for Young Life in North Texas, which primarily exists to support youth outreach in urban areas of the region. He also formerly served as a Planning Committee member for the Alliance of Merger and Acquisition Advisors.

Matt is a fly-fisherman, golfer and a struggling musician. He and his wife Beth live in Dallas where they raised their two sons.
