Riveron Consulting recognizes Director, Ellen Smith, on her appointment to the Board of Community Partners of Dallas. In this role she will assist the organization in its efforts to support Dallas County Child Protective Services through fundraising and increasing the awareness of Community Partners of Dallas and its mission.

Community Partners of Dallas is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring safety and restoring dignity and hope to abused and neglected children by providing resources and support to the caseworkers of Dallas County Child Protective Services. The organization served more than 20,000 children in 2012 through five unique programs, Rainbow Room, Kids in Crisis, The Heart Program, Caseworker Appreciation and StoryLine.

“Volunteering at Community Partners of Dallas began as a service project with my daughter,” said Smith. “It quickly became a steadfast commitment, and I was truly honored to be approached about joining the Board. I look forward to contributing to the continued success of this important and groundbreaking organization.”

As a result of its broad-based community support, Community Partners of Dallas was named the Outstanding Volunteer Organization of the Year by the Volunteer Center in Dallas. In addition, Governors Bush and Richards appointed two of the organization’s founding members to the Board of Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. Community Partners of Dallas’ programs have been replicated across the state, and Rainbow Rooms and Adopt-A-Caseworker programs currently exist in more than 135 cities in Texas.
